Services

I provide evidence-based, compassionate clinical care designed to support your mental health, personal growth, and relationship goals. Below is an overview of the specialized services, modalities, and structures offered in my practice.

Core Clinical Services

Individual Therapy

  • Focus: One-on-one sessions tailored to your unique challenges, personal goals, and emotional well-being.

  • Common Topics: Anxiety, depression, trauma recovery, life transitions, stress management, and self-esteem.

  • Duration: 53 minutes per session.

Couples & Relationship Therapy

  • Focus: Navigating communication blockages, restoring trust, resolving conflicts, and deepening emotional intimacy.

  • Common Topics: Infidelity recovery, premarital counseling, recurring conflicts, and navigating major life shifts.

  • Duration: 53 minutes per session.

Every individual requires a unique approach. I primarily utilize the following evidence-based treatment modalities:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). CBT tries to change the thought. ACT does something different: it stops treating the thought as an emergency. You will have the thought that you're a bad father. Fighting it, arguing with it, and drowning it are all forms of paying attention to it. ACT teaches you to have the thought and take your daughter to practice anyway, because that's what a father you'd respect does. It's built around values, not moods — which matters enormously for men who have been waiting to feel motivated before they act.

  • Career Counseling: Working with others to choose, change, and advance your work life.

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Identifying and restructuring unhelpful thought patterns to change behavioral responses.

  • Existential Counseling: Working with others to identify life’s questions and taking responsibility to build a purposeful life.

  • Faith-based, if you want it. If your faith is central to you, we work inside it — including the parts that are complicated. Guilt, forgiveness, whether you can be a Christian and be this angry. If faith isn't your thing, we skip it entirely. That's your call, made in the first session, and you can change your mind.

Relational therapy. Some of what you're dealing with isn't a thinking error. It's a template. How you learned, before you had words, what men do with anger, what's safe to need, and what happens if you show weakness. That template runs your marriage and your parenting whether you consent or not. This is the slower work, and it's usually where the durable change happens.

Solution-focused work. Sometimes you don't need excavation. You need the next two weeks to go better than the last two. When that's the case, we do that and don't waste your money on archaeology.

Faith-based, if you want it. If your faith is central to you, we work inside it — including the parts that are complicated. Guilt, forgiveness, whether you can be a Christian and be this angry. If faith isn't your thing, we skip it entirely. That's your call, made in the first session, and you can change your mind.

Trauma-informed throughout. Meaning I assume your reactions made sense somewhere, at some point, and I don't treat you as broken for having them. I'm Star Behavioral Health Providers Tier Two trained — the Center for Deployment Psychology curriculum on military-related behavioral health, which covers PTSD, traumatic brain injury, sleep disruption, suicide risk, and military family systems.
